Whispers of the heart…

Heart: Go on, send that message. Tell them you miss them… a lot. Sometimes it’s your first step that matters.

Ego: But they have my number too. If they miss me, they can always reach out. Why should I be the one to make the move? I will stay put. Let them come to me. Besides, why would I risk vulnerability when we can survive in this stalemate? There is no need to rush happiness in pride... it can wait…

Heart: But what if waiting only widens the distance? What if they’re waiting for the same nudge from me? Someone has to care enough to bridge the gap.

Ego: True, but what if they don’t respond? What if I’m met with silence? That rejection will hurt more...

Heart: Maybe. But isn’t trying better than regretting? Maybe the peace we want is on the other side of this discomfort.

Ego: Or maybe they’ll take me for granted if I go first. Let them earn it.

Heart: Or maybe reaching out shows strength, not weakness. Relationships aren’t about scoring points; they’re about connection.

Ego: Alright, but it’ll need to be on my terms ...simple and honest. No expectations.

Heart: That’s all it takes! A moment of courage. Send the message. Let the silence break and see where it leads.

It does not take a lot of intent. It only take a little bit of initiative. Begin, anew!
